Krishna Janmashtami
On Friday, 19th August 2022, the students of BGS Model Public School celebrated Janmashtami. The students of Pre-Primary came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna. A splendidly colorful program was organized by the children and staff of the school; where students presented songs, and dance performances. The students were overjoyed when they broke the ‘Dahi Handi’ (pot of butter & curd) to grace this occasion. Dahi Handi is the most ancient joyful game played and celebrated, for the birth of Krishna in Janmashtami. As they do so, girls surround them, sing with music, and cheer them on.
